Beginner Cajon
Beginner level does not mean that you are 8 years old, although I also teach that age group.
Cajon is a percussion instrument that looks like a piece of furniture. It can be used as:
- a popcorn and soda table
- a foot rest
- distraction for kids
- an authentic percussion item for parties and concerts
What to expect:
- Choosing the right cajon for you
- Deciding on genres and playing styles (North American & Flamenco)
- Tuning & maintaining
- Hand positioning
- Listening
- Understanding music fundamentals (no sheet music knowledge required)
- Playing basic riffs
- Composing YOUR first song - Yes, you can compose a percussion song!

Sessions are 1 hour.
Materials include:
- Goals and objectives
- Training book
- Video for doing your homework
- Bring your own instrument, or play one of mine if you broke yours
